VIDEO: Yoongi and Stars Speedpaint | A Discussion on Success in Art

Hey guys! I filmed a timelapse (“speedpaint”) of a portrait of Min Yoongi (Suga) from BTS, and did a voiceover with a discussion on “success” in art. I hope you enjoy it!

Hey friends, this account is now private and defunct for the foreseeable future. * * I was just going to quit IG and social media posting for a month, just to have a break and as an experiment... but it has honestly changed my life SO much for the better, and I don't want to go back to it. * * I don't know what to say except that I have too many dreams, in this brief human lifespan, to have time to post things regularly online. There is too much I want to do, and social media, in my case, was holding me back. Since leaving it all behind, I've felt healthier and more free than I have in years. I'm actually writing my novel, actually making stuff, actually doing the real-life thing. * * So I have gone around and either deactivated or made private most of my social media accounts. (I know it sounds scary - I was scared - but it's worth it.) * * You can still (for now) reach me through the contact form on my website. But IG has been off my phone for a few weeks now and I only put it back to post this message. * * Bye for now friends. Just popping in briefly for a #hbnotebookchallenge post!... * * I have still only completed a single "real" notebook, and a total of eight and a half TN inserts. But...it has been an awesome experience. (And there's still the rest of November and December left - there is hope!!) * * Writing was my life for 10 years. Then a health crisis happened and I just didn't have time or energy to write novels anymore. But now I'm working on one again. And while I won't credit that fact solely to the #hbnotebookchallenge ...it certainly has helped!! * * Writing every day, for me, is like how if I hang out at a salon every day, Im gonna end up with a haircut at some point...If I write every day, even just journaling, I'm gonna end up knee deep in a novel. Which is where I LOVE to be. * * So here's to @heartbreathingsblog and all the other #hbnotebookchallenge participants!! Thank you for doing this - it has gotten me back to my noveling. And if that isn't at least a kind of success, I don't know what is. * * I'm still on a social media detox, but I really wanted to pop on here and say hi and thank you to all of you. Hey guys...I really need a #socialmedia #detox . * * I also need to tone down the amount of online content I'm trying to generate. I believe my time would be better spent creating less-frequent higher-quality media, and so I am doing just that. * * I have shut down my main YouTube. I've been back and forth on that one, but I just can't keep up with it anymore. It is no longer realistic to even try to do so. However, I am leaving the existing videos up for now, because I do believe some people still benefit from them. * * I also shut off the blog on my main site. Too much work & stress for almost no effect. * * Finally, I am taking an at least 1 month break from Instagram. * * That said, though, I am still going to work on my @taylorjohnsondolls stuff, and I'll still post Inktober for the next couple days. * * I know it seems like I'm hacking off a lot of limbs, but these projects were going nowhere and needed to just go. Hey all! Exciting news...I will be participating in @nanowrimo this year and this is my novel. * * * #TheBestOfUsNovel follows the journey of three college buddies who, after growing apart and moving on from college, are reunited at a friend's funeral.
